NASCAR at Las Vegas: Start time, lineup, TV schedule and more
LAS VEGAS - It's NASCAR race day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and we've got some essential information you need to get ready for today's Kobalt 400.
START TIME: Jonathan Goldsmith - better known as "The Most Interesting Man in the World" from the Dos Equis beer commercials - will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:07 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time Sunday (12:07 PDT), followed by the green flag at 3:16 p.m. So if you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 3:16 p.m.
RACE DISTANCE: The Kobalt 400 is 267 laps around the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a total of 400.5 miles. Last year's race was known as the Kobalt Tools 400, but the "Tools" part is no longer in the race name.
COLUMN: Points matter more in NASCAR's new format
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Performers from the Million Dollar Quartet - a musical based on the night in 1956 when Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins played together - will sing the national anthem today.

TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: FOX will broadcast today's race and has a pre-race show beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) will call the race on the radio.
WEATHER: The National Weather Service is calling for a gorgeous day in the desert: Mostly sunny skies with a high of 76 degrees and a light breeze.
LAST TIME: Matt Kenseth scored the first of his career-high seven wins in 2013 by winning last year's Las Vegas race, holding off Kasey Kahne with a no-tire call on the final pit stop.
STARTING LINEUP: For the second straight week, Penske Racing swept the front row in NASCAR's new qualifying format. This time, Joey Logano got the pole over teammate Brad Keselowski (who won the pole at Phoenix).
