The youth movement in NASCAR is here, and Friday night's Camping World Truck Series race was proof the next generation of NASCAR talent is ready to make their mark on the sport.

Erik Jones and Ross Chastain dominated the night's action, leading a combined 147 of the 150 laps, with Jones scoring the win, his first in NASCAR competition.

"It's all I ever wanted, to be a winner in NASCAR," Jones told FOX Sports 1 in victory lane.

Not only is he now a winner in NASCAR, he is the sport's youngest winner in the three national touring series -- Camping World Truck, Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series -- at 17 years, five months and nine days. Jones beat the previous record held by Chase Elliott when he won earlier this season at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park at 17 years, nine months and four days.

Joey Logano currently holds the record for the youngest winner in both the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series. His Nationwide win came at Kentucky in 2008, when he was only 18 years and 21 days old. His first Sprint Cup Series victory came at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2009, when he was 19 years, one month and four days old.

Jones may be new to NASCAR's victory lane, but he already has an impressive resume on the short track circuit.

The youngster won the prestigious Snowball Derby in 2012, beating Kyle Busch for the win, and also took the checkered flag in the Winchester 400 in 2013. Jones also took Venturini Motorsports to victory lane at Berlin Raceway earlier this year in the ARCA Racing Series.

While there's no feeling quite like your first NASCAR win, Jones still enjoys the fact he beat Kyle Busch for the Snowball Derby win.

Aside from veterans Brendan Gaughan and soon-to-be champion Matt Crafton, Friday night's top finishers was a 'who's who' of NASCAR up-and-comers. Runner-up Chastain is 20, Ty Dillon is 21, Cale Gale is 28, Ryan Blaney is 19, James Buescher is 23, Chase Elliott is also 17, Jeb Burton is 20, and Daniel Hemric is 22 years old.

The future is certainly looking bright in NASCAR.
